ASI Mission

The Mission of the Afghan Scholars Initiative is to

• promote the human development of Afghanistan
• promote the universal values of education, diversity and understanding worldwide
• challenge the West’s preconceived notions of Afghans while giving Afghan students an opportunity to experience the West firsthand
• enrich the experiences of American students by allowing them to form relationships with Afghan students
• create cultural understanding between the U.S. and Afghanistn
